CARE Meeting with Visiting Author Benjamin Herold

C.A.R.E. Meeting Wednesday, March 19, 2025 4:00-5:00 pm Lower Merion High School Library 315 E. Montgomery Ave., Ardmore Benjamin Herold , author of "Disillusioned: Five Families and the Unraveling of American Suburbs" will be the guest at the upcoming CARE meeting, which will be held on March 19, 2025, in the Lower Merion High School library at 4:00 p.m. Herold is an award-winning reporter whose work has appeared in Education Week , PBS NewsHour , NPR, Huffington Post , WHYY, The Hechinger Report and the Public School Notebook . He has a master's degree in urban education from Temple University. Kirkus Reviews calls his book, "A well-informed, ambitious narrative about the simmering inequities in America's suburbs." Herold will be joined by a member of one of the family's profiled in the book. The meeting will include a presentation and a question-and-answer period to delve into the relevancy of the book's themes within the LMSD community.
