Philabundance Food Drive
Local food banks need our help this time of year. Philabundance is a nonprofit organization that distributes nonperishable food items to agencies in Philadelphia and the surrounding counties.
Beginning Friday, Dec 1 and continuing until Thursday, Dec 21, Merion will be collecting donations for Philabundance. For the past several years, our school has made the largest, single school donation to Philabundance! Last year alone, Merion collected over 7,000 pounds of food for the needy, providing thousands of meals for families in our area.
Thank you to our generous Merion community.
Houston still needs our help
At Jones Clark Elementary School in Beaumont, TX, about 90% of students live at or below the poverty line. When Hurricane Harvey hit, they lost what little they had. Recently Merion staff learned these students could use school uniforms, specifically shirts. We're collecting money to purchase uniform shirts for students. Shirts run about $7-$10 but any amount is appreciated. Please contribute what you can and together we can help this school get back on their feet!
