Box Top Tips:
Go for the Greens
Children's nutritional habits and preferences are shaped by what they learn, see and do during the school day, in after school programming and at home. We hope that you will join us in our efforts to encourage the students to eat healthfully.
On April 10-11, to celebrate 'Go for the Greens', our focus will be on encouraging students to try new and tasty vegetables in our school cafeterias and at home.
Volunteers are needed in portioning vegetables, marking votes and giving stamps to the student participants.
To volunteer for Go for the Greens or to participate in the LMSD Nutrition Committee, please contact Robin Danowski at firstname.lastname@example.org.
From the Nurses' Office
Prescription drug abuse and accidental poisoning are two important reasons to dispose of medications that are no longer needed or expired. We are fortunate that there is a convenient, anonymous drop-off box in the Lower Merion police department. It is a good idea to clear your drug cabinets of meds at least twice year.

Lisa Ruzzi (Cynwyd School Counselor) and Natalie Thibauld (Cynwyd Librarian) have developed a mindfulness program for the district that is specifically designed for younger children. Incorporating movement and breathing exercises, these before and after school programs are highly popular in the district.
