Spring Social & Silent Auction
Spring Social and Auction (2 Co-Chairs and 2 volunteer assistants)
The Spring Social and Auction Committee gets the awesome job of organizing an annual party and auction for Merion parents/guardians. It’s a night of music, food, drinks and fundraising with a silent auction. Specifically the committee is responsible for organizing the auction, securing the venue for the social, set up/break down of the social and physical auction, as needed, as well as advertising the event and selling tickets to the event. The overall event is an HSA fundraiser, however, there will likely be cash outlays needed to secure the venue, etc. Cash outlays must be approved by the HSA board.
Timing: The parent social typically takes place in the late spring. The committee meets in the months leading up to the event, and can meet in the evenings/weekends; whenever it is convenient and just be available day-of for set-up and break-down.
