Lower Merion School District Wellness Council is celebrating fall by providing delicious, locally-sourced apples to elementary school students to enjoy. Volunteers needed on the afternoon of Oct 28 to wash and distribute apples to the classrooms. If you can help, email Ashlee Goodman, the LMSD Wellness Committee Liaison for Merion Elementary School.

The Book Fair Social is special part of the Book Fair, giving families a chance to shop while catching up with friends and neighbors. We are looking for 1-2 people who want to bring their creativity and enthusiasm to this event slated for Nov 12. To learn more, contact Lisa Lewis.
Jeff Kinney's newest book is scheduled to go on sale Nov 3 but Merion students can pre-order a specially priced paperback edition for $8.99 (hardcover is priced at $13.95). Return the completed form with payment by no later than Oct 27. All sales benefit our school and books will be shipped to Merion beginning Nov 3.

For National Mix It Up at Lunch Day, students at Merion Elementary will join more than a million more across the country to help break down social barriers by sitting with someone new at lunch and talking about their favorite t-shirts. Grade 1: 10.16 at 8:15 am Happening Thursday Oct 15 and Friday Oct 16 and tomorrow 3:30 - 7 pm and Saturday Oct 17 9am - 12 pm. Plenty of pumpkins are still available - all sizes - plus mums, special canvas tote trick-or-treat bags, and a huge bake sale! Pretzel sale too! Join the pumpkin-palooza and pick up your pre-ordered pumpkins!
Sale to benefit the 5th grade class. On Oct 22, bring a food item for the Narberth Community Food Bank to Cultural Heritage night. Look for collection bins inside the front doors.
