This informal discussion will include a panel of Lower Merion HS students talking about their experiences and what they think parents should know to interact effectively with their teenager. This panel will be facilitated by Judy Rader, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in private practice in Bryn Mawr who has given workshops and presentations on communication, conflict resolution and adolescent parenting issues.
Navigating the balance between teen independence and parental guidance and limits can be tricky and often end in conflict. Parents of 5th grade Merion students are invited to a special meeting of the Bala Cynwyd Middle School HSA on Mar 9 at 7 pm in the Bala Cynywd MS Auditorium.

On Feb 20-28, a stellar array of artwork by LMSD students will fill the galleries of the Main Line Art Center in Haverford. Over 400 pieces on exhibit will highlight student talent in drawing, painting, photography, sculpture, metalwork and ceramics. This year's exhibit will also feature a showcase of teachers' artwork in the main lobby. Families of students in the show will receive an Evite to the opening and closing receptions on Feb 20 and Feb 28.
Please consider bringing a donation of art supplies for Lucy Belle's Rainbow, which provides art materials to children receiving cancer treatment at CHOP. Suggested donations include new boxes of 64 crayons, 9 x 12" sketch books, markers, color pencils, watercolor sets, model magic, and glue sticks.
