Help your kids to get the sleep they need

On Feb 23 at 7 pm at Belmont Hills Elementary School, join us for a presentation by sleep expert Dr. Jodi Mindell to learn more about how much sleep is needed for kids at different ages, common sleep issues (e.g., settling kids into bed, waking during the night, sleepwalking), how to know if your child is overtired or needs more sleep, the impact of sleep deprivation, and more. Follow the presentation, stay for a group discussion led by Harriton parent Amy Norr. RSVP by Feb 19.

Want to get involved with one of Merion's best fundraisers? The annual Merion plant sale can use the help of another co-chair. The co-chairs (3-4 in total) divide the responsibilities for choosing plants and communicating with nurseries, finding and ordering complementary gardening products (gloves, seeds, plant stakes, etc.), assisting with communications efforts, and running the sale scheduled for May 4-6. Make a Valentine's Day card to be distributed by Meals on Wheels to our local Senior community. Last year, Merion students made over 230 valentines for seniors! Students can drop off their valentines though Feb 9 in the collection box in the front office.
