ISC Hot Topic: Putting the Strategic Plan into action
On May 10 at 9:30 am, the ISC will host its final Hot Topic of the 2015-16 school year when Mr. Robert Copeland, Superintendent of Schools, will provide an update on the school district's implementation of the strategic plan. Mr. Copeland will highlight what has been put into action over the last year and outline what are the next steps for moving the plan forward. This meeting will be held in District Administration Office Building, Room 273.
Best buddies friendship walk
The Philadelphia/Lower Merion High School Best Buddies Friendship Walk will be held on May 15 at LM High School. The Best Buddies Friendship Walk is the number one walk in the country raising awareness and funds to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Registration begins at 11 am; opening ceremonies begin at 11:50 am; followed by the walk at noon.

Get active for our schools
On June 5, the Education Foundation of Lower Merion will host the 8th annual "Run for Our Schools" at Harriton High School. This is an excellent opportunity to participate in a 5k run or walk all while raising money for our classrooms! Get out, get active, and make a difference for our schools! The school with the highest participation earns a trophy. Let's make Merion a winner!

Young Rams youth football camp
Young Rams Instructional Youth Football Camp is scheduled for June 27-July 1 at Harriton High School Stadium. This non-contact camp is for all children in grades 1-8 (entering 1st grade next school year, entering 8th grade next school year). The camp is hosted by Harriton HS Head Football Coach Justin Mellor and his staff. Golf outing benefiting LM Baseball/football
The Second Annual Lower Merion Baseball/Football Golf Outing 4 Man Scramble will be held on May 14. Enjoy a complete program of 18 holes of golf (including cart), prizes, dinner and socializing with friends of Lower Merion. ISC: Sleep and the teenage brain
In the past year, the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention have issued policy statements on middle and high school start times. The Interschool Council (ISC) Sleep and School Start Time Committee conducted a study on the issue of sleep and later start times for LMSD high schoolers in the spring of 2015. Committee for Special Education
The Committee for Special Education (CSE) hosts monthly educational presentations (typically on the 1st Tuesday of the month).
