Reminders from the Main Office
This year's Halloween Parade will be held Tuesday, Oct 31 at 11am. Parents/Guardians and guests who wish to access the building for any reason on Halloween after the parade must be registered. Classroom
assistants (2 per class) must also register and are the only parents who will be allowed in the building prior to the parade. Please use this link to register before Friday, October 27 at midnight.

The October HSA meeting will feature Mr. Copeland, Superintendent of Lower Merion School District, who will give an update on the district and will also take questions from parents/guardians. Come to hear the latest on what's happening in our schools and enjoy coffee and breakfast courtesy of Panera.
Cultural Heritage Night Is One Week Away
Fill your "Passport" as you travel the world at Cultural Heritage Night 2017, next Thursday, Oct 26, 6-8:15pm. Enjoy the tastes, sounds, and arts of the many cultures and family traditions that are represented at Merion Elementary at one our most popular events. This event is free, but please bring a canned food donation for the Narberth Community Food Bank.
The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to Merion Nov 6-10
An exciting part of the book fair is the "All for Books" coin challenge.
Students are asked to bring in their loose change during the week of Oct 23 - 27. The class who brings in the most change will win a prize! Please consider supporting this great Merion event! (This event provides books directly to our school and, in addition, Scholastic will match amount in books to a charity.)
Informational Meetings for Student Newspaper
All 4th and 5th graders interested in joining Merion Muse, our student
newspaper, are invited to an informational meeting, tomorrow, October 20. Separate meetings will be held for 4th and 5th graders during their recess times in Miss Hershman's room. Even students who were involved in Merion Muse last year should plan to attend this meeting to hear what's new and pick up an application. Questions? Email email@example.com.

Student Flu Vaccine Clinic
When - Monday, Oct 23, 5:30-8 pm
Where - Lower Merion High School, Health Suite (enter main door of HS)
The Montgomery County Health Department in cooperation with Detweiler Family Medicine Associates will offer an evening flu clinic for students in grades K-12 who reside in Lower Merion Township and Narberth and attend public or non-public schools. The Flu vaccine is covered 100% by all insurance companies.
