Friendly Reminders from the Office
During am car loop drop off, Mr. Kerper, our awesome custodian, is in the drop-off loop to greet arriving students. Please be sure to pull all the way to the front of the loop before having your child exit the car. Some parents are letting their children exit the car in the middle of the car line or from Bowman Avenue. Please, for the safety of our students, pull all the way to the front of the island where Mr. Kerper is standing.

We are finding more students are just being dropped off after 9 am without being signed in. Please remember - Parents MUST sign their children in after 9 am.

Artist in Residence Program Continues This Week!
Please join our Artist in Residence, Jessica Todd Harper, and 1-5 grade students in an outdoor project involving a 19th century photographic technique. All classes will be held during art class time and you can sign up
On their regular art day, students should bring in opaque or semi-opaque items, such as small gears, card board cut-outs, ferns, shoe laces, flowers, coins, etc. to use in this project. The cyanotype process will reveal
a "negative" like image of the items when developed.

May 19 is Rainbow Day!
Merion Elementary School celebrates World Cultural Diversity Day with a 'No Place for Hate Rainbow Day' on Friday, May 19. We would like every child and adult in our school to build a more inclusive and respectful community.
On Friday May 19, please wear as much of your favorite color as you can. As you walk around the school, you will see the colors of the rainbow and be reminded that we are all different and together we can make something really special and beautiful, a RAINBOW! Let's reflect on our differences and think about how these differences make us unique and give us strength.

LM PAGE Presents: Understanding and Challenging Your Gifted Child 101

Parenting your gifted child and managing their educational needs can be an overwhelming and often frustrating endeavor. James LoGiudice, an experienced educator involved with gifted students and programing, will describe some basic traits and characteristics of gifted children. His discussion will cover some myths and truths about these kids and include realistic behavioral and learning expectations adults in their lives might have. Mr. LoGiudice will discuss various parenting and schooling considerations for
your gifted child as well.

Harriton Presents: "Kids Nights Out!"
When - Friday, May 19, 6-9 pm Where - Harriton High School
Harriton High School is proud to present Kids Night Out! - an evening of fun- filled activities for current LMSD students in grades K-5 benefiting Harriton Mini-THON and the Four Diamonds Fund.
The evening will include gym games, arts & crafts, dancing and music provided by a DJ, a balloon artist, face painter and professional juggler, pizza, hot dogs, and other snacks for sale - and you can even watch Pixar's Trolls outside!
There is a suggested donation of $10 per child and with the help of the entire community, together we will help beat childhood cancer! To pre-register, email firstname.lastname@example.org.

Lower Merion Basketball Academy Spring Clinics
The award-wining Lower Merion Basketball Academy returns to Bryant
Gymnasium at Lower Merion High School for five action-packed clinics this Spring. Join members of the Lower Merion Boys Basketball coaching staff, current Aces, NCAA alumni and special guests for 90 minutes of skill development and fun. Open to children ages 6-14.
Clinics will be held at the following dates/times:

Young Rams Instructional Youth Football Camp
